You may feel light-headed or tingling sensations during this breathing exercise. Make sure you give yourself at least 25 minutes to lie down while doing it, and drink plenty of fluids before beginning so that your body has enough time for relaxation!
4-7-8 Breathing:
1. Exhale fully through your mouth, making a whoosh sound.
2. Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to the count of four .
3. Hold your breath for a count of seven .
4. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to the count of eight .
5. Repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths.
